What are a Plastic Recycle Washing Machine and Production line?

Plastic recycling washing machines are specially designed for washing waste plastics. A recycling washing line is a complete system consisting of multiple devices for the entire process, from waste plastic collection to washing and preparation. Unlike a single washing machine, a washing line includes more than just washing; it also covers a variety of process steps.

How Does Plastic Recycling Washing Line Work?

Plastic recycling and washing lines usually consist of conveyor belts, washing devices, dehydration devices, etc. The conveyor belt is responsible for sending plastic products to the washing line, the washing device uses high-pressure water to flush the plastic surface, the dehydration device spins the washed plastic dry, and finally, the processed materials enter the silo.

Key Steps in the Plastic Recycling Washing Line Process

1. Collection and sorting

After collecting plastics from our homes, businesses, schools, and other places, the plastics are sorted according to different types (such as PE, PP, PVC, PET, etc.) and colors.

2. Crushing

The sorted plastics are fed into a crusher and cut into smaller pieces that are easier to handle.

3. Washing

The plastic fragments are soaked in water, stirred with a machine, and possibly washed with chemicals. This removes dirt, grease, and other debris.

4. Dehydration and drying

The washed plastic fragments still contain a lot of moisture. Dehydration and drying steps are required to avoid moisture problems in the subsequent granulation process.

5. Screening

Finally, the dried plastic pellets are screened to remove those impurities and unqualified pellets that have not been cleaned.

These steps allow waste plastics to be recycled and reused in new plastic products to protect our environment.

Choosing the Right Plastic Recycling Washing Line

1. Capacity requirements

How much waste do you need to process per day? You need to consider the capacity of the equipment, i.e. how many kilograms of plastic can be processed per hour. If the recycling volume is high, it will be more appropriate to choose a washer with a higher processing capacity and a larger working volume. Ensure that the equipment can meet the production demand to avoid equipment failure or loss of efficiency due to overwork.

2. Plastic type compatibility

Determine the material you need to carry out washing treatment, different plastics, and washing requirements are not the same. Choose a versatile cleaning machine that can handle various types of plastics or specialize in a certain type of waste to ensure the best cleaning results.

3. Thorough cleaning efficiency

If your recycling goal is to obtain high-purity plastics, the sorting and filtering capabilities of the washer are critical. When choosing your equipment, make sure it is effective at removing metal, glass, labels, and other impurities from plastics while retaining valuable plastic components.

When making a choice, consider the above three factors comprehensively and choose the equipment that best suits your business needs, thereby contributing to the development and innovation of the plastic recycling industry.

Plastic Recycling Washing Line Application

Plastic recycling cleaning lines are capable of cleaning many types of waste plastic materials, including:

Polyethylene (PE)

Common applications: plastic bags, plastic film, plastic packaging, bottle caps, plastic pipes, etc.

Polypropylene (PP)

Common applications: plastic containers, packaging bags, food boxes, household items, etc.

Polyethylene terephthalate (PET)

Common applications: beverage bottles, food packaging bottles, transparent plastic containers, etc.

Through efficient washing and recycling, plastic recycling washing lines can not only improve the reuse of plastic materials but also promote the realization of a circular economy in various industries, reducing resource waste and environmental pollution.

FAQs
